I think keeping a food journal is an excellent idea.

I agree with the logging-in your food..WW has a little booklet that you grab every week at weigh-in called the "Quik TraK system", basically it's just an organizational tool to write down what you ate, and add/subtract the points, much like balancing your check book. I find it VERY useful. Some people like WW's 3 month journal. Personally I would like to use a very pretty journal I bought last year to write down my feelings, etc. and tie it in to motivate myself for weight loss AND money management. It's my new year's resolution to start that.

Also, I like that 3 food interference thing...though I must admit, when I have the hungry-horrors it never works for me...I'm too stubborn I guess Rolling Eyes I want what I want Rolling Eyes

I'm not sure that WW would agree with me, but what has worked for me has been to allow myself to get a bit obssesive with my scales....when I feel that I need to eat, especially when a bit stressed, I hop on my scale, and this seems to keep me focussed on my goal, and I put off food until at least another hour, and repeat process as needed, and when I am truly hungry, growling stomach and all, I am quite happy to eat healthy food, instead of not-so-healthy food.....

I have to say that if I am faithful in journaling what I eat then I stick to the program if I slack in that area I tend to fall
