I'm sure we all have stories we could tell, even back to our childhoods. I've tried to move forward positively, it doesn't always run smoothly but on better days my sense of humour sees me through.
We should remember that we're all unique and special in our own ways, wouldn't life be boring otherwise?

The woman I wrote about knows she has the problem and struggles against it. Her childhood was terrible but has survived and raised 3 wonderful children with her husband. Their marriage is a strong one, with ups and downs like everyone elses. She is active in her church and community despite feeling like an outsider due to her negative self image. I'm glad I got to spend the time with her, even if it wasn't perfect, I know our friendship has improved due to this time.
