I just discovered Morning Star Farms frozen food items at my grocery store...they had a great sale so I tried some of it and was quite impressed with the taste and the low calories and fat content....they were in the vegetarian/organic freezer section...

I found a pleasant surprise today on a quick run through Safeway....I checked out their meat markdowns and found a large package of Foster Farms turkey breast deli slices for $1.99, but I wanted to put this under 'Lifesavers' because when I checked the nutrition panel I found out that each slice was only 25 calories, and 99% fatfree, very low sodium, etc....and it tastes yummy, wow Shocked I also was craving raisin bread so found a house brand loaf and was happy to see only 60 calories per slice....I like to put just a tiny bit of peanut butter on a slice, fold it over, and it makes a great filling snack....

That's unusual to find deli meat with such little calories and sodium. Great find.

Yes it was a great find and I have been enjoying it a lot...I have avoided deli meats in the past but now will look for this brand and similar ones when at good prices. I have cut back a lot on meat so when I do get that craving for protein, this will be a good alternative to eggs and cheese...

Discovered a healthier version of the Ramen Noodle Soups by Nissin called 'Choice Ramen'...80% fat free and 25% less sodium...140 cals per serving, 2 servings per package....I chose the slow stewed beef flaver and was impressed...is a nice and filling alternative to regular soups...and helps when you get those cravings for carbs...

I'll have to look for those ramen noodles. Thanks for posting this, spirit. We love ramen noodles for a Saturday lunch. I like to add my own vegetables to it.

I have noticed ladies that there have been other kinds of new healthier versions of many kinds of foods....I have found that it really pays to look at the nutrition panels...I also remember some lighter versions of Rice-A-Roni and other noodle and flavoring boxes...I am so happy to see these bounce
