| I read this in a magazine tonight,,thought I would share it with you all!
If you take your weight and times it by 12 that will give you the total calories you need to take in each day to maintain that weight.
(Example...Your weight is 100 pounds,,times that by 12 and your answer will be 1200.You will need to eat 1200 in calories each day to stay at 100 pounds.)
To lose weight you need to eat less calories,,,if you eat more calories you gain weight.
To lose 1 pound a week you need to cut your calories by 500 a day. To lose 2 pounds a week you need to cut back calories by 1000 a aday;
They recommend you not eating less than 1200 a day because you will rob your body of nutrition and vitamins it needs daily to function. |

| Great tip, Donna...thanks for sharing! Easy, easy, calculation for the mathematically challenged like me! I never knew it was so easy to calculate calories needed to maintain or lose. _________________
