| I need to get back on the band wagon! I gained 2 pounds on my 2 week vacation, today I head back to the YMCA and will pick up salad supplies on the way home. _________________ Dear Lord, help me remember how lucky I am on both the good and the bad days! |

| | I've lost a pound in a week and a half. Not much, but I'll take it. I folded last night at a Lenten Lecture. They had cookies with my name on it. I ate one small chocolate covered mint cookie and I felt a little guilty doing it since I was standing next to a parishiner that has lost 6 pounds and didn't eat anything last night. |

| Good job on the loss Sissy! I know what you mean Teri. I'm sure you will lose the weight.
I am in need of pants or skirts...but I'm not going to buy any as I do allready have many nice pairs of jeansthat are too small. If I would get off my duff and lose some weight I could wear them! So, that's the plan. |

| Well I am feeling really guilty about the weight I have gained. 40 pounds in 5 years. WOW!!!! I called to quotes on life insurance and they said mine would be little higher because of the height to weight ratio! I found a TOPS group that meets weekly near me and it only cost $25.00 a year. I am told they are sort of like weight watcher meetings. I really need the accountability of weighing in front of others. Hopefully that will keep me on track. They use the exchange program. Very basic and easy to follow it seems. The meetings are on Monday evenings so hopefully next Monday I can go and find out more.. In the meantime I went to their site and printed off the exchange list to hang on the refrigerator and exchange cards for my daily use. I just wish my foot was better so I could do more exercise _________________ Vicki

| I was wondering how the TOPS program worked. Our church has one and I found out last year what the letters stood for.
Vicki - I hope your foot is doing better. It's awful not to be able to do the things you want to do.

| Here is the website for tops if anyone wants to check them out. http://www.tops.org/
Sissy - I have given up on my foot. The heel spur just won't go away and to top it off it is the same foot that I injured the ankle several years ago and I am still having problems. Hopefully I can get some money together and go see a specialist as my doctor just wants to keep giving me cortizone shots _________________ Vicki

| Oohh, cortisone shots are nasty. I've had two - one in my elbow and one in the bottom of my foot. It's not good to have so many of them either. They end up weakening the tendons. I wish you the best, Vicki.
Well, dh, my mom and me shoveled two driveways this morning in 12 deg weather. Each driveway is about 120 feet long. I'm not worrying about doing much in the way of exercising. I haven't weighed myself. I'll do that later on this week. I'm only going to weigh once a week. |

| Vicki, I understand the 'heel spur' problem....I had a similar problem about 10 years ago and had to see a podiatrist for a combination of electrical therapy, water therapy and orthotics...the cortisone shot did nothing but make me want to kick my family doctor if he ever mentioned it again I hope you can find some relief soon.... _________________ Love is a fruit, in season at all times and within the reach of every hand. | Rob said I could go for "kid-less" walks!! That will be great. WE always take a "school" walk after lunch on nice days, but they don't make it far before someone falls or eeds to go potty..or wahtever...so I'll get 2 walks in here soon! Vicki, let me know how you like TOPS a few ladies from church do TOPS. |

| | I forgot to weigh myself this weekend, but I think I did really well. One our our parishoners keeps giving us food since I told her I was dieting. I just eat a little bit at a time because she is a good baker. |
