| Which do you find the hardest: Losing the initial weight or keeping the weight off after you've lost it?
I've found keeping the weight off has been the hardest for myself. Once I lose the weight, I give myself permission to start going back to old, bad eating habits. Then, I get mad at myself because I know if I could eat healthy to lose the weight, I can maintain it. |

| For me, it's losing the initial weight.
I was very active on dayshifts at work, and they were better spread out over the week and I lost 7 lbs pretty much without trying or changing my diet. So that was all credited to physical activity. Since regaining those lbs on holidays and cutting back on workshifts (now all at one end of the week) I have not been able to shift it again, even though my work's still very physical.
There's a lot to be said for regular physical activity. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| I pretty much stay the same. It takes a diet of 1200 calories and exercising for 1 hour a day for me to lose weight. Anything else is just a waste of time and well I can't see myself living off of 1200 cals for the rest of my life. _________________ Vicki

| Kim - 1200 calories is too low to survive on. I would think your energy level would deplete pretty quickly.
I got frustrated a week ago and told my husband I wasn't going to exercise anymore. I don't feel like it's gotten me anywhere because of my arm injury and now a re-injury. But he said, if I hadn't exercised for all these years, I wouldn't be able to even walk or move. Point taken. So, I guess I'm going to get on exercising. |

| Well ladies, I strongly feel that it is extremely important to fit in daily exercise and consider it as important as eating healthy, keeping hydrated and taking meds and/or vitamins.....as 'over the top' as Richard Simmons is I have to agree with his philosophy...."you eat every day, so you must exercise every day"...... _________________ Love is a fruit, in season at all times and within the reach of every hand.
