Prayers please for Nicholas and Michael

Subject: Prayers please for Nicholas and Michael Mon 18 Feb 2008, 3:44 pm

Dear friends,
I have another prayer request to bring to you, my friend Shirley's 25 year old son Michael is being operated on Friday at Mayo Clinic to remove a tumor on his brain stem. This tumor has been causing Michael's blood pressure to drop drastically resulting in loss of conciousness. In addition his 25 year old cousin Nicholas Young is being operated on for cancer near his liver, this is his 3rd operation for cancer which was orignially a malonoma (sp?) and spread to his brain and now his abdomen. They are wonder young men and can use all our prayers. I feel so much better knowing I have you all to assist in lifting them up in prayer.

Very sad to hear of both young men in the same family circle going through this. I'll pray for both of them and their family and friends.

I got word yesterday that Michael's surgery was at least partially successful. The doctors were able to remove most of the tumor and feel they can get the rest with radiation. The tumor had grown into the brainstem. The doctor told Michael's Mom, Shirley, it was like operating on a mouse inside of a snake. Michael was still in recovery so how the final outcome of the surgery I still haven't heard. Please continue to keep him in your prayers!
