| Well, I went in to speak to our store Manager today. I currently work with perishable foods but a lady who works in grocery (non perishables) is transferring in a few weeks. I found out what shifts she worked before enquiring. She works Monday to Friday with 6am starts and 2 or 3pm finishes Mon - Thur, but on Friday works 7 - 12. These would work out well with DH working similar hours, it's back to working full-time but with no late nights or weekends. There would be very little heavy lifting required either as it involves looking after promotions, pricing, ticketing, stock control, etc. When I mentioned the position the manager informed me that he hadn't thought of that role for me and had planned on keeping me in perishables somehow. I stressed that I REALLY liked the shifts which would keep me happy to stay where I was. So, pretty much, I think he's giving me that position within a few weeks of returning from my holidays, give or take, depending on when the lady transfers. A few of my old buddies from dayshifts are happy I'll be coming back on. Oh, it makes the heart happy Not to mention the extra money will be great for plonking off our mortgage Thanks soooooo much for all the prayers and positive thoughts sent my way, they sure helped _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| OH MY GOSH!
The company I had the interview with almost 2 weeks ago rang today to offer me the job! I'd been told to expect word by mid last week and as I hadn't heard anything I'd expected they'd decided elsewhere, although I remember with my current job it was approx. 2 - 3 weeks before I heard back. I thanked the lady who called very much and told her I'd expected to hear back around mid last week and since the interview had accepted another position. All of those prayers were certainly powerful. Thanks so much again for all of the prayers, positive thoughts and well wishes It's nice to think that at least I must've been presentable enough and made a good impression of some kind _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
