| Ok...here we go again! Last year at this same time we had this same issue with foster daughter #1...she works at KFC, and closes the store. her shift ends at 11:30 at the LATEST and she has progressivly (sp) been getting home later and later...well Fri night she rolled in at 3:00 am!!!!! We were SOOOO mad!!! We have been trying to catch her in the act of whatever it is she is doing, but have had no luck. It's like she knows we are watching..lol...the reason we have not made her quit her job is b/c she is almost 18 and needs this job...BUT she also now has a "boyfriend" that we don't approve of. So, I'm sure she's with him....but when I check with KFC to see what time she clocks out, it adds up and she is home 20 mins after she clocks out. It's like she has the manager wrapped around her finger as well or something. They turn the computers off before they clock out so the manager clocks everyone out by hand in her paper work...oh, did I mention the manager is only 18!!!!!!! So, we laid down the "law" last night and she didn't even speak to us! She had no defense other than "I was at work"...or when we asked her why she didn't call...one day was becuse "I tried but nobody answered"...we have 2 cells besides our home line...and she was gone from home for 11 hrs that day, the phone WAS NOT busy for 11 hrs!!! and Fri nights excuse for not calling was I thought I couldn't call after 9:00!!!!! WHAT!!!!!....this is scaring me, she is making such bad choices and can't chose a boyfriend that's a christian, or friends that are christian either....please pray for her! Oh yeah...I am calling the store owner Mon to let him know that his employees are up to no good at night in his store and see what he thinks about that....he is not going to want to pay those kids for extra hours so they can party in his store! ARGGG Thanks! kim |

| I pray you work things out kim for your foster daughter's sake. Not many teenagers want or heed advice (& I can speak from personal experience). Unfortunately too many learn from their own mistakes, life can be a harsh teacher. _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| Yes, I agree...life is a harsh teacher...allthough I am so scared that she will end up pregnant...and she is SOOOO not ready for a child. I also told her that in less than a year she will be the only one to pick herself up when she falls falt on her face. We have been letting natural consequences work their magic...like she decided not to go to school for a week, well when she went back she was SOOO far behind that she had an awful time catching up and got 2 f's!!!! She learned her lesson! BUT...what she is playing with here is much more serious and dangerous!!!! thanks for the prayers! kim |

| Kim you have my prayers. This girl just doesn't know how lucky she is to have people like you and your family who care about her. You have taught her what you can know it is up to her to take what she has learned and put it to good use and like others have said something it takes learning the hard way. I too agree that infants are much easier than teenagers!! _________________ Vicki
