Subject: Once Again Needing Prayer Wed 26 Dec 2007, 4:44 pm

I am heading out in the morning with Rachel to Children's Hospital in Washington DC. Hopefully they can get her stomach problems under control. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow where she has had no bowel movement and is throwing up. Xrays revealed that her bowels are compacted in her intestines. There are 2 procedures they can do to remove this but one requires a few days in the hospital. Please pray for all to work out well and that relief comes to Rachel. Thanks

Sending prayers Vicki, that kind of problem is so very uncomfortable, hoping she can get relief soon without a lot of outside intervention...

That is a very uncomfortable,,couldnt imagine going that long with oout a Bowel movement,,she must be in alot of pain.I will pray for her also.

Oh poor dear Rachel, that sounds terrible! I am praying that she will soon be well and not have to stay in the hospital.

They admitted Rach to the hospital Thursday and we have been here since. They have internet in the room thru the tv but it is kind of hard to use. Rachel is not doing so well and yesterday was really bad. She is vomitting alot also and losing everything. They started IV with fluids and meds last night. Did a second xray today and blood work. Her colon is really stretched out and they wre afrafid of a rupture. Said it will take 6 months to get it back in shape. They had her on clear liquids only and are trying to flush the intestines and colon clean by doind enemas, colonisc washings and an oral solution. Let you nom ore later

It must be a distressing and painful experience for Rachel. I hope they can provide some relief while trying to sort it out for her. I'll be thinking of her and praying. *HUGS*

Thanks ladies. We actually came home tonight around 9:30. She is all cleaned out on some different meds and a high fiber diet. We go back on the 4th for a check up and to see what we are going to do. She has been such a trooper. I cannot even imagine going thru all that she has gone thru. Well time to check on the other posts and then to bed. Love you gals!
