| With some of the store/generic brands there is pretty much no difference and working in supermarkets I know that many dairy products are supplied by big name companies and your pretty much getting the same product but your saving because you're not paying for the advertizing on the product label. On a few products though, we'd all admit that the taste is not quite the same. I'm always happy to buy store/generic brand in milk, eggs, cheeses too, jams, frozen/canned veg., kitchen foils and sandwich bags. Although I'm not keen on generic margarine, I will use it in cooking/baking. I don't like some stores generic bread as the loaves seem smaller. I don't buy the toilet rolls as I generally find them poor quality, yes I know I'm throwing it away anyhow but I hate to use it. The same goes for some generic shampoos and toothpastes etc. I'm prepared to give most things a try and if I'm happy enough with the product and the saving I'll continue to buy it but if not I'll buy what I like within my budget. _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| I buy generic or store brand whenever it is cheaper. There only only a handful that we don't like. The only exception is toilet paper. I always buy name brand on sale with coupon. _________________ Vicki

| The only things I didn't check off was yogurt(I've been eating Activia lately, yes, In the past I HAVE bought store-brand yogurt, ALOT) & toiletries. I need name-brand toothpaste. Sorry, but my teeth just do not feel as good with store-brand. I DO buy store-brand liquid hand soap in big refill containers & store-brand soap bars for the shower.....soooo....Hhhhhmmmmm, I guess I should have checked off everything!!! |

| | I'm really fussy about dairy products so I buy local brand name milk and yogurt. Also, brand toothpaste. Since I started using Colgate Tartar Control, I have had easier cleanings at the dentist. I have to eat special bread but it is a store brand. |
