Answer by ticking your selected choices.
(Thanks to Donna for the poll suggestion Very Happy ).

This is multiple choice.

I chose 1,2,5.
I've always had a set dollar amount in mind when gift-purchasing.
This year is the first time I've used a list and will continue this annually from now on, very helpful!
The last 2 years I've stocked up on sale items, saves the frenzy, hair-pulling and splurging at the last minute!

I would like to say 'giftcards' for nieces and nephews but because they're all overseas it makes it difficult (even though it would be MUCH easier! Some people view 'giftcards' as a 'cop-out' because you can't think of anything but when people have so much these days it's a good idea to let them choose their own things.
I'll be getting DS giftcards to bookstores this year, he has so many books I've no idea what to pick, he's got 2 bookcases in his bedroom! They're both full study

I also chose 1,2 & 5.
I buy most of my Christmas items around New Years for the next year ... just so that I dont have to pay full price before the holidays.

But some people are not easy to buy for - like my dad and his wife, and Todd's dad.

With my dad, I wait until the last minute to see if he gives any hints. Last year, he and his wife got a combined gift for their RV - a flat screen TV that was on sale at Kohl's for thier "early bird special." I got quite a bit of money off of it - so it was in my price range.

I chose stocking up from sales and giftcards. Although, I just don't randomly buy things on sale. They must suit the person I'm giving the gift too. Giftcards have been a blessing for me. My parents are in their 80's. They've been cleansing their house of clutter for the past few years. We give them giftcards to their favorite restaurants. We, also, give giftcards to the nieces. Some of them are at the age I wouldn't even guess what style clothing they like or music they listen to. Giftcards solves alot of time and everyone loves them.

Isn't it funny M, trying to fish for hints without appearing to do so!

Sissy, I do agree giftcards are very convenient, especially so for young people...I feel so out of touch these days Laughing

For a few years with DS, I used to ask him to make a list of things he'd like and tell him that I would only pick 3 items from the list so he had to put some thought into it, I'd usually add one item not on his list as a little surprise too. Kids just have way too much these days!

I love having a list..it is the most helpful to me.We do have a set dollar amount to spend on kids and we draw names for family,,inlaws. With the grandkids we buy 5 gifts each and with the sons I kinda buy all I can,,depending on money ,,they also both get about the same amount spent on each .

My mom always said she hated to give cards as gifts,,although it works best with teens or a tough family member to decide for..she always liked to see people opening gifts and packages.
Christmas is my favorite holiday!

1,2,3, and 5
I shop with a list I keep in my purse with sizes , the color the person likes.. special things.. these saves money alot
I found the lotion and bath spray ,ect for the girls on sale this summer .. Its in my gift box for Christmas ..
I usually give a gift card to the grown children and thier spouse , it easier .. I have them a gift and a gift card..
For the family that away from home a nice card and gift card is easier for Me and them .
we draw names and set an amount.. ( Grammie doesnt she allowed to spoil littles as much as she wants ) and my DH and I have a nice way to shop I pick out what I want he buys it . And he tells me what he wants I get it ( if it a tool I just sign the check and he gets what he wants , I dont do hardware stores )
I have about 60% of Christmas done I hope to be 99% before October.. I always buy DH Christmas in late Nov. or Dec he just takes his time...
