| We have four in total. Three are with one bank, a savings account into which DH's and my own wages are deposited regularly, a newer (but separate) savings account which we opened about 1 1/2 years ago and into which I try to deposit savings regularly. The good thing about the 2nd savings account is that funds can only be transferred via phone or online so are not easily accessible. The 3rd is our credit card account.
The 4th is our mortgage account which is with a separate banking institution.
I have thought about opening a few more separate savings accounts specifically for Christmas or Holidays/Vacations but I'm not sure if it wouldn't just be better to keep all savings in the one main one?

| we have about 7 accounts Our checking. Franks account, My account, Business accounts there are two of them , house hold accounts , our saving account and our Money market , stock account ...
and there saving at a couple more banks
I keep track of my account and our account .. I write payroll out of the business and bills out of household ..
I am banking freak I monitor them like a hawk .. as Daddy take care of the pennies they count too.

Oh wait...that's not true. I just remembered 2 more.
My checking, my savings, and our checking.
But we both also have savings from another institution.
That wuold be 5 total.
I only checked 3. Oops.

| Can I ask why 2 checking accounts?
We have 3..savings and checking in both our names and also a separate savings in my name that I had with my mom when I was her POA,,just havent closed it yet. |

| We have two checking because when I met Todd 2 years ago, he had his own house, I had my own.
He sold his house and changed jobs - so it was easy for him to switch. We got a joint account.
But I still have mine from when I was 16! I have my direct deposit into there, and all of the Akron house bills come out of it. Once we get rid of the Akron house, I'll probably migrate the direct deposit over to the joint account.
