E-mails mainly to my mom.
Calls to my dad and brother.
E-mails to childhood friend and new friends online.

Mostly for me it's now emails, it's just usually the easiest option with the large time differences. But we do phone occasionally too.

I voted for "emails". I contact my sis who lives in another state,but works in Boston, via email at least every week.
My other sis who I barely see(and like it that way!! Rolling Eyes )I just contact via email if I have to invite her to a party or have something important to let her know. I call her on the phone for her birthday though.
