I'm trying to cut costs in other areas, but am running out of ideas/options, mainly concentrating now on driving less where possible. We're probably using our c/card a little more but not much. I'm trying hard not to touch any savings.

We are cutting costs, but also getting into more debt.
The reason for more debt is because something else always needs done to the house, so we got o Home Depot/Lowes and finance it at 0% for 12 months.

I have been trying to save the extra $500/month we have; however, it is hard when all of these expenses creep up on you, and you have to pay alot more than what you're used to.

Great thread, Skin.
Thank you.

The price of gas is hitting us a bit hard..we are still planning on driving to michigan for Easter night with family butwe have cut WAY back on eating out and cooking more at home. When we do eat out its generally under 20.00 for both of us.

When its warmer I am planning on doing some walking home from work,,good for me the enviroment and the budget!I still would like to look into bikes,,something the hubby and I could do together.

the cost of gas we cut down on going .

Business wise our fuel costs have really taken a chunck of the budget .. we are not hiring any crews this year Frank and the boys are working with Robots which we bought last year. my DH prices are up about 25% .. he hadent raised rates in about 3 years .

we usually sell all our young cows we had 15 of them we only sold 8 . We did not sell any hay this year or last year we have three barns full and havent had to buy feed .

Well, Thank God no effect for us yet, and I hope never.

Though I am starting to get into a more frugal mood today. kinda meaning that I'm wanting to pay off ALL debt more than ever & see where else I can save w/o sacrificing my lifestyle.
Just planning on being more logical with expenses...sometimes I fall off the frugal wagon w/o really realizing it. I don't fall too far, which is a good thing, I think that's because it(being frugal) is generally in my nature, but I do tend to fall off every so often nonetheless (nobody's perfect! Rolling Eyes )
Good Luck to me with trying my best!!!

It hasn't affected us too much yet, but I've been nipping our spending in the bud for awhile now preparing for this. I know as things get worse, we will become more affected.

I'm trying to think of ways to cut costs but so far we're holding our own and dipping into savings when we have to. The fridge is going and will need to be fixed (if I can find a repairman) or replaced. Our couch was supposed to be replaced but will have to last another year at least.

Good luck to everyone.

I hope you can find a good repairman DF and it doesn't prove too expensive, in an emergency don't forget to check Freecycle Smile

We are so far in debt as we were having a hard time before all the rising cost so our cards were already charged up. Trying to figure out what to do!

I chose other. We have debt due to medical bills that will take some time to pay off. Income comes 2x per month and all the bills are paid first. What is left over is used for fuel for the car, medicine, necessary health/beauty, and food etc. That money is getting to be less and less and we are finding it quite a challange as prices on all items continue to go up.

We have not been affected negatively yet....but are expecting some medical expenses to impact us when my husband can get eye surgery....we have no savings but we have no credit debt either and our car has been paid off for some time so that should help some....
