| We really try to go somewhere on holiday at least every few years, affordability has been a problem the last several years so usually it's a budget holiday. The last family holiday was about 3 years ago and we drove 13 hours to save money on flying (was tiring) but saved a lot. We stayed in a lovely self-catering holiday hut/chalet with a kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms in a caravan park. It had wildlife roaming around, a laundry and a pool. We splurged on a one-day boat trip around the whitsunday islands....gorgeous and DH & DS went scuba-diving around the inner Great Barrier Reef. It was for just under one week and was very relaxing....I wish we could afford to do it more often. This year of course will be a biggy for us, going to Ireland, so we plan on making the most of it I know it'll be a while before we have another one! _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

This year I dont think we being going anywhere so I am planning on the tribe to move over the lake house this spring and hopefully spring and summer peaceful and comfortable for the family _________________ Gayla

| I WOULD go on vacation every month, if I had the choice. I DO go on vacation at least once a year. Last year, we went camping with my dad and uncle (and their wives) for 5 days. Mom and I went to Vegas for 5 days.
This year, the wedding/honeymoon takes up too much of my vacation time, so we will be going to Alaska, and we will be going camping for a 3-day weekend with my dad and his wife in Michigan.

| I clicked a few times a year,,we like to take mini trips,,weekend type deals,,,,but when we went to Florida last November,,we cut back on the weekend trips to save for the big one.
We camp alot which is relativley cheap compared to hotels .
I would like to vacation in Vegas,,drive across country to Yellowstone and see New York,,and see the Statue of Liberty. (not all in one year!LOL) |

| I checked once a year. We try and go somewhere every summer as a family. When we lived in South Carolina the kids and I would take monthly trips and come back here for a visit and take a yearly vacation. It was really nice. Cant afford that now though _________________ Vicki

| I ticked once a year. that's my goal. I spent years raising my kids & saving for a house, and now it's time to travel!(IMHO!!)
Is the question how much "would" you travel(if you could) or how much "do" you travel?
Well,as I said my goal is once a year, but I also HAVE been travelling at least once a year since 2004. That's when I caught the travel-bug( )
Last year,it was twice. Bermuda & WDW. This year it will be twice again, both times WDW...but only because we're celebrating our 25th anniversary & want it to be special. No regrets either.
Next year, it will be back to once a year.
Travel/vacations really add to the quality of my life. |

| cheapy...it's really how often 'do' you go on vacation
We are going to Ireland for 3 weeks in October this year, it will be a total surprise for both our families as we're not telling them we're visiting, plus we'll get to celebrate DS's 18th b/day with our families in Ireland. I'm so excited. I hope to take lots of photos!!! _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| I said never because I can think of so many places that I would love to visit, but the budget would not allow it and I am not one that enjoys the traveling to get to those places. Now...if it was my mind that we were talking about...let's just say that it is on a permanent vacation! _________________ MARY |

You're funny, Mary!! I feel the same way about MY mind...oh,look, a butterfly!! (just me,trying to be funny!)
As much as I love to go to different places for an environment change, I don't like flying(I DO,only if it's a short flight)....4 hours is probably all I can handle(Tops!)and I don't like long car trips either. That leaves a limited amount of places that I will actually get to go to. Gee, a train trip might be do-able. Never been, but I know Hubby would LOVE it!!(he loves trains!) _________________
