| I checked never. I used to as a child, but I wouldn't do it now. However any change I see on the ground is coming home with me! _________________ MARY |

| My son will do this occasionally. I think all kids do this including myself when younger. _________________ Vicki

| I NEVER do!! I dislike vending machines...just seeing them gets me irritated sometimes....I don't know what it is. Perhaps it's all the bad memories of being at the E.R. or other waiting room environment and having my small children9or seeing others' children) beg for goodies even though they weren't hungry...like the vending machine was just some big toy or something. Pay phones? all I can think of is germs!! |

| I agree with Cheapy - all I can see in vending machines is lots and lots of germs _________________ Love is a fruit, in season at all times and within the reach of every hand. Anyone may gather it and no limit is set. ~ Mother Teresa |

| No, I can't say I have ever done this. But, I'll tell you a funny story: When my DS and his cousin were younger (around 9 yrs old) they used to go to a fortnightly disco at a local Church hall. They'd hang around at the end as all the kids left and pick up any change that had fallen out of the other kids pockets while they were dancing! Then they'd divide their findings. I thought it was so funny, no flies on those two!!! _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| I chose never.
I never carry cash - so I never go near either of the two. When they come out with ones that use credit/debit cards, I'm in trouble!

| DO you mean check for change in your pocket or in the machine itself? I read this quickly...I was under the inpression that you meant to check your own pocket....so I chose rarely....we will once in a while get the kids a treat...but not often...if it meant to check the machine itself for change, my answer would be never!

I,too,at first thought the question was about change in your pocket, but the answer is still never with me about checking for change IN the machine. When I was a young teen(early teens)I would check payphones sometimes if I was walking by with a friend, and that was a short-lived pasttime. But never vending machines. |
