PostSubject: Buffer for Checking Account   Fri 07 Mar 2008, 10:05 am

As I've posted this morning, I've bounced my first check ever.
I have been thinking that maybe I should have a buffer to avoid this in the future (because I dont have overdraft protection).

I was wondering if anyone here keeps a buffer in their account to avoid this happening.

I obviously submitted $0. I had $110 in the account until next payday (next Friday), but what is $110 when you write a check for $1093 and forget about it?

I clicked 1-499.00,,we will deposit a little over a check just for a "safe" feeling,,but after that check has cleared then we would use the extra money on dedit uses if needed.

One of my accounts required a $300 minimum or I would get charged. I don't have that account but I still use the buffer.
