I chose: He is Just as Frugal As I Am
That's what I liked about him when I met him. He looks at prices and decides how to get the "Best Bang For Your Buck" as my economics teacher in college always said.

His parents hound him for just picking stuff off the shelf and buying it, and whatever he wants, I dont see it. Maybe they havent gone shopping with him too often. Because he is very conscious of what he is looking for, does the research to see how we can get it for the best price, and then executes the sale!

I chose other as DH doesn't have a frugal bone in his body, thinks the things I want to do to save money is crazy and when I try and implement things he doesn't do them. Example - He will start the shower and then sit on the toilet. All the while not only is he wasting water but he are paying to heat the water! He leaves lights on wherever he goes, he will leave the TV on downstairs even if he is upstairs watching it. He would rather pay someone else to do things he can do, or buy something new instead of fixing something. It drives me crazy!!

My husband is basically as frugal as me in the day to day grocery and household needs stuff but gently teases me about my dumpster finds and frequent thrift store adventures....however when I show him what the items I find free or for a few bucks actually cost new he tends to be quite supportive Cool He does however spend a lot of time in the bathroom also Vicki...as did my former husband, and my son too...what is it with guys and the bathroom anyway???

I was gonna say...Rob has never primped...and he is quick in the bathroom...maybe he needs a gas mask....lol
rob is not as frugal as I am , but close. He has good intentions but is quicker to go out and eat and things like that than I am...but he does well Smile

I chose semi-frugal as DH will source the cheapest options for d.i.y., some home expenses like insurance etc.
He will never pay for any service he do himself and always repairs whatever he possibly can before replacing.
He doesn't check prices at the supermarket although I take care of most of that, thankfully.
He will sometimes splurge on some items such as tools, gifts and home entertainment equipment, although he does price around, compare and haggle with the latter.
On the whole he's pretty good (except for the odd splurge...lol).
As he often reminds me, we don't smoke, rarely eat out or drink, we work hard and deserve to treat ourselves occasionally in other ways. He's 'half-converted' lol.

He is semi-frugal and supports me in my efforts. He just isn't as disciplined as I am to say "no" when he needs to, but I'm working on it.
