| I was wondering - has anyone here had a piece of their wedding cake on their 1 year anniversary?
We have been saving the top of our cake, and I just brought it from the Akron house yesterday. Todd is iffy about it, but I have waited for nearly 1 entire year. I AM going to have a piece, considering on our wedding day, I was so full, I didnt get to have even a whole piece (just the sliver we fed each other).
The topper is supposed to have strawberries in it...
But has anyone eaten the top of their wedding cake a year after they were married?

| When I opened the box, I forgot how beautiful the cake was. :-)
Light yellow with white dots. If you didnt get ill from eating the cake, Kim, I suppose I wont eiter! ;-)
I have a horrible sweet tooth, and it took everything I've got in me not to pick at the cake all year long.
I think it's a go. I'll let Todd know.
Thanks!

| Our tradition is to have the top of the cake at the 1st baby's christening. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| No we didn't. The bakery said they would made us another top for our anniversary because they didn't believe in eating year old cake! |

| My new SIL asked me if she should save the top, as their electric can be tricky I suggested they just save 2 pieces and eat the rest while it's fresh. I suggested if the freezer fails they could get the lady that made the cake to duplicate it on their 1st anniversary. _________________ Dear Lord, help me remember how lucky I am on both the good and the bad days! |

| Our cake topper is coming with us to Gatlinburg next week. :-)
Actually, a week from today is our 1 year anniversary.
I opened up the box with the cake in it, and I forgot how beautiful our cake was! :-)
