| My mother came over today and had Christmas with us. She gave the kids realy nice gifts, but she also gave me some nice gifts too! She gave me oodles of embroidery threads, the little cardboard things you wrap them around on, plastic holders for the thread..a crosstitch w/ thread, 2 hoops, an embroidery table runner to make, 2 pks or iron on embroidery transfers, a kitchen towel, oven mits, 2 cookie mixes, cookie cutters...and much more! She also gave me a $50 Walmart card that I will use for food. The kids each got a $20 gift card and $50 cash!! I will let them spend some , but will save the rest for any needs that come up for new clothes or whatever. The kids also got really nice gifts and candy from another party today  They got to play with thier cousins and eat lots of yummy food! My MIL also gave out homemade goodies, gave us leftover kool-aide, and some Christmas decorations & candles. My niece also brought me 2 home interior candles I bought from her, but I forgot I did so that was a treat!!What a day!! All frugal too...as some of the gifts were gently used and homemade...FUN!! I'll need a tranquilizer to sleep...lol.. |

| | We did have a nice time...the kids were planning games to play when they see thier cousins again next weekend...lol...some live 2 hours away so that is such a treat for my kids!! |

| | I am working on the embroidery table runner now. I see that my mom had these things for years!! This one was from the Ben Frankiln store...hasn't been open since I was a kid! That made me so happy to know she didn't spend lots of $ on my stuff! The floss was still in the pkg but dated 2002.. |
