| Last night ,all of a sudden our power went off.It was so dark in here you couldnt see your hand in front of your face.I stepped outside,,and the homes across the street had lights on and the guy was outside smoking.I asked for a light to light a candle,,he was so nice he just gave me the lighter.God was watching over me because the lights came back on in a hour or so,,,I blew out the candles and put away my flashlight,,,the lights went out again! This time till after midnight.Im so glad he gave that lighter to me so I could re light all the candles. This showed me I am not prepared,,some of the flashlights dont have batteries or they are dead,,no lighter etc.I think I am wanting to buy a battery operated radio and matches and more candles,,and put in a special place in the house for this reason! When your alone in the house at night and the power goes off,,kinda spooky What do you have put back for such times? I have a small container with blankets and first aid for emergency type events,,ICE box,,,but the radio and lighters werent in them yet! lesson learned! |

| I have flashlights in every room in the house including the bathrooms. I was in one once when the lights went out and it was really dark!
I check them every spring and fall when we change the clocks.
We also have lots of candles. |

| We have torches although I haven't checked the batteries lately. I keep candles and matches in my bottom 'junk' drawer in the kitchen (just in case). I have a small battery operated radio. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
