I was supposed to go in for OT this morning, but we are getting snowed in as we speak. Todd had to work this morning, and after 2 hours, they told everyone to go home, they were shutting down the plant.

So I have plenty of time to relax, and think up all of these questions that I wonder about all my fru-gal friends. Very Happy

So... the question of the hour is...

What made you fall in love with hubby?

Many things come to mind here....but the ones that stand out most are his sense of humor and ability to help me rise above the life events that tend to get me down or 'stuck'.....oh, and he also has the most beautiful baritone voice and uses it frequently to seranade me and my daughter....

OO Spirit,,I love a deep voice also! My moment when I knew my husband was the one for me,,was the way he accepted me AND my sons.They were teens at the time,I divorced their dad about 5 years before I met my husband now.He does so many things that makes my days easier.When I was losing my mom to her alzheimers,,,I know deep in my heart I couldnt have gone through it with out him.He has shown me he is my rock,,when we were dating and as husband and wife.I thank God often in my prayers for him.

Sorry girls but my story isn't all great. We worked together and one day as passed one another our bodies touched and I literally felt a shock go through my entire body. I had only been separated from my then dh for 2 months and had no desire for a man in my life. I started asking questions about who this person was and found out that he worked in the service department and on that day we met he had a stroke shortly after we bumped. That was in February of 1995. On May 13th 1995 I called and asked him out on a date. We have been together since. He moved me, Rosa, Rachel in with him in October 1995 and let me quit work as Rachel was having a hard time with me being at work. In February 1997 we were married, in June of 1997 he officially adopted both the girls and the story continues. Even knowing my past which was pretty bad during my difficult times of my previous marriage he still chose to marry me and make my girls his own.

Not sure Vicki if anyone can say our lives have been all great, but it seems that some of us can say we are where we are now because of taking a risk, perhaps, and reaching out to the guys who eventually became our husbands....speaking of risks....I met Jay online and went to his apartment to meet him!!! of course I expected his daughter to be there so I could meet her also...and thankfully she was there or I would have turned around and gotten out of there fast Shocked

...and be very lonely today....

Well....Rob and I met when I was 15 and we have been together since the day we met Smile

It was truley love at first sight Smile

I love his work ethic, his understanding spirit, his love for kids, and the list goes on and on...I can truley whole heartedly say I am more in love with Rob now than I have ever been!

I met Todd online literally weeks after splitting up with a boyfriend of 3 1/2 years. We met on plentyoffish.com.
I saw his profile, and he was the reason I signed up for the forum (it was free, of course).

It took him about a week to respond to my message to him. Apparently, he thought I was crazy because when I read his message, I felt like I knew him, we were so much alike. Luckily, he messaged me back, and we met each other several weeks later. He lived about an hour away from my house, but worked only 5 miles down the road. But still, I wanted to be in control, so I went to see him at his house.

This is not going to sound very good on my part, but I ended up spending the whole weekend with him! 6 months later, he asked me to marry him, 10 months after that we married.

I fell in love with him because of how much he cares for me. We have so much in common (which is why I think we fight as much as we do! I dont want to deal with myself all of the time!!! :-) . In his profile online, he mentioned he liked to cook. When I e-mailed him originally, I told him that's good, because I like to eat! We have also found a few things that we enjoy TOGETHER that we didnt know we'd enjoy. One being wine, the other camping. I have always liked camping, but he had never been until about a year ago when we went. We had such a great time.

I also fell in love with him because he's such a hard worker, and he is so passionate about so many things. Not to mention he was good with money, and had the same dreams and goals as I do/did.

I fell in love with Frank when he told me he prayed for me . Shortly after I was very ill in the hospital he came every day , I told him I probably couldnt have children he did care he said we can adopt .
we dated for an year then Christmas he asked Dad permission he asked me to marry him
we were married . we lost 4 children to early birth .. we started foster we ended up adopting the 5 other kids and Boo , Sarah , and Michael are ours .. 14 years ago we found out I have MS he said Thank God . he been my rock through everything . He makes me laugh he is such a good man , solid he a pillar in the community, well respected in is profession , an Elder and associte Pastor in our Church . he loves me really loves me he is a good man.

For me it would be a combination of things but the main things would be his acceptance of who I am and his abundance of patience.

This is going to sound rather vain, but I fell in love with dh because he looked like me. He was my beginning instructor at Tai Chi. We had the same body type, eyeglasses and loved doing Tai Chi. We found out we had several common interests, started dating and well..the rest is history.

I think the thing I love most about him right now is he brought me back to the Church. I had faltered and fell away, but he kept knudging me to go back. I can't believe how much I love my parish, the people and my church. I don't think I would have gone back if he hadn't been for him.

My DH was one of my best friends for years. He always loved me and wanted us to be together but I wasn't interested in him that way. One day it occurred to me that he was better to me than anyone else I'd ever been around (including my family). He treated me like gold (and still does).

I looked at him a little differently and tried to see us together. Then I realized I didn't just love him but was IN love with him. Being with him has made me a better person.
