I had someonen take the fuel out of my 79 Ford LTD parked in front of the house I was living at the time.

And this is when it cost $0.99/gallon.
They got nearly 15 gallons out of the tank.

Last year while we were under very heavy water restrictions, with huge fines for abusers, someone stole all of the WATER from a kids sports club's rainwater tank. They stored it for irrigating their playing field. Now I hadn't heard of THAT before! Shocked

People are stripping homes of copper pipes. They can sell it on the blackmarket for a good price.

How low will people go?

I have mentioned this before but it is true that we have to be extra alert because it seems more people are stealing many kinds of things....there is a family in the Denver area who has a special needs child and a special customized outdoor swing was given to the family so this little boy could get some joy from the sun and the movement of the swing... but some idiot stole the swing, some more kind people replaced it for the family and would you believe it was stolen again Crying or Very sad Anyway even some more kind and generous people ended up reinforcing this family's backyard fencing and installed security cameras, and gave them a third special swing and so far it has not been stolen...sheesh....at least this is a positive story about the generousity and kindness of strangers I love you
