| Hello friends... I am still alive (I think!)
Maybe some of you remember me speaking of my cousin with the brain tumor...well, she passed away on the 3rd of January during another brain surgery. So much has happened that I don't know where to start!
A week before the surgery she called and said she decided for another couple to take the kids. This was such a shock since we had had them during the summer, bought clothes for them, changed our garage into a huge bedroom for them, gotten beds, etc. ready for them, etc. etc. All I could say is "Julie, you have to do what you are comfortable with." and leave it with that. So her funeral was this past Sunday, the kids are gone and it is like no one knew us.
To add to this we found out on the 4th that our 13 yo son's heart is enlarged on the right side and there is also a small hole. We are trying to get a date for the test where they go up through the groin (sorry, I forgot what it was called) and then a test where they stick a probe down your throat to view the back side of the heart to take place but the dr. hasn't gotten back with us on that yet.
Then to top all this....I let my immune system get down and I have walking pnemonia, severe sinus infection, 2 ear infectionions, lymp nodes are swollen, and I don't know what else. I took Monday off from work but with the upcoming dr. bills have tried to work any time they call for the extra $$. We lost at a Basketball tourn. yesterday so the teacher did not end up needing me today so after getting the boys off to school, I cam back and slept until 11:30!! I am now trying to play catch up with laundry, etc.
I knew that I had mentioned about my cousin last Dec. and just thought I would let everyone know the latest.
I am so sorry I haven't been by much but I work almost daily and then the boys activities keep me on the go also. Just know I love you all so and think of you often!!!! I am closer to y'all than I am to my sister that lives 22 miles away!
Want to also thank those for the Christmas wishes and apologize for not getting any off. Our son just told me of the heart beat irregularity on the 5th of Dec. and had to wear a monitor for 30 days and all that kind of threw me . I have never been very good with Christmas cards (it sneaks up on me all the time) but this Christmas was all just kind of a daze!
Hugs and blessing to all!! _________________ DEBBY/OK

| It's lovely to hear from you Debby. I'm sorry to hear of your cousin's passing, it's never easy even when expected. I know you had prepared to look after the children but perhaps it will be a relief in some way with your health issues right now and your son's heart problems. I'll keep him, you and your family in my prayers. Look after yourself. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| Debby, it is so good to hear from you and I am extremely sorry that things have been so hard for you and your family. You had a kind generous heart to offer your home to your cousin's children, and even though it did not turn out as you imagine, God will bless you for that. I will keep you all in my prayers and hope that you get to feeling better soon and that you will be able to find out more about your son's heart condition. Take care and just know we are always here for you. _________________ MARY |
