| Mom and I have been having one thing after another happen with our New York City trip.
Today, I got an e-mail that the airline we were going thru is now out of business as of yesterday.
I called mom and told her, and we decided to postpone the trip. She is going thru alot right now with their move, and Todd and I have alot going on here... so, I suppose it's for the best.
My new thing now ... I am planning a surprise concert for her and I to go see Celine Dion. We went to Vegas a couple of years ago to see her, but she wasnt playing. She is now on tour, and will be in Columbus in September. I may rent a hotel close to the arena, and take her for a great girls day/night out. It would be alot cheaper than NYC, that's for sure.
I will get my mom to see Celine in concert ... I told her that many years ago, but everything always fell through. Well, this is our time. And I am going to make sure I do it right.

| I am sorry to hear that your NYC trip is not going to happen, but if you can work out the concert plans then it sounds as if you would be making one of your Mom's dreams come true. That is a very special plan M and you are such a thoughtful daughter!! _________________ MARY |

| Thank you, everyone.
My mom is my best friend. I was always made fun of in hgh school because I'd rather spend time with my family than go out with friends. Mom and I had some really rough times (thru the divorce of my parents and when I dated someone she did not approve of), but I'm glad we made it through. Our relationship is stronger than it's ever been.
Nothing happens without mom knowing about it. I would do anything for her, and she would do anything for me.
There was once a question on the game show Moment of Truth. Do you think you are a better parent than your mom was to you? I can honestly tell you that I could never live up to what my mother has done for my brother and I, and our family. There is no way I could be a better parent - it's just not possible.
Thinking back, she worked full time yet always had food on the table by 6 when dad got home. We ALWAYS sat at the table and talked about our days. On Saturdays, my dad worked, so my mom, Derek and I would stay in our jammies until about 30 minutes before dad got home. We would have to clean the house, of course, but it was fun being able to lounge around in our jammies for most of the day - I think that's why I still do that on my days off. Then on Sundays, it was family day. We'd go out to brunch, and then go do something with the family (whether it be drive around the country, look at houses, go to events, etc.)
As you can see, I cant say enough about my mom. She is what kept us together...
I feel that it is the LEAST I could do is to make some of HER dreams come true. She has made so many of my dreams reality. I want only the best for her.
