| Donna, enjoy the hoepfully warm weather in Flordia when you go.
Gayla those projects sound lovely.
I just finished making pom poms for the flag football cheerleaders shoes and sashes for their homecoming tomorrow night that are done in the team colors.
Now my big project is this site and trying to figure it out. _________________ Vicki

| Sounds like a fun relaxing trip Donna. Gayla, I am sure that everyone will just love your gifts. I have been sorting my craft supplies and organizing them. I have been putting off sorting the beads but it has got to be done! Vicki, you are doing a great job with this site |

| Donna, do you have room in your luggage for ME!
Kim, do you hire out?
Gayla, will you adopt me?
Outside of dh and the kids, we don't do anything for Christmas gifts. My dad just wants homemade waffles, breads, or the like. We give his dad money. and my sisters are both "broke" so we haven't exchanged presents in some time. I use to go ahead and give them things but even though they would email a thank you they could have sent a nice card or something. They know I love recipe books and there are tons of used book stores in their area or I would even be thrilled if they just sent me a pkg or recipe cards.... oh well.
Once, dh#2 "hadn't had time to shop" for Christmas and didn't even get a tiny something for my "stocking". That morning everyone went after their stockings, and presents under the tree and there was "MOM" without anything ...believe it or not, they started crying. I just said Santa must have been in a big hurry. Last year I bought myself something just "in case". Good thing, too.
Guess that is why I always make sure that they less fortunate children at my little school get at least a tree ornament from me....One time the boys and I made these ornaments out of dog biscuits and gave them. You would have thought we spent 100 bucks. This yr. I have a med. box of the boys clothes for this one little boy who is needy. The boys even stuck in a few of their toys they didn't want any more but were in good shape. I am going to wrap it and give it to him as we break for the Christmas break. It is so sad because his father tends to "drink" what little money he does make away. _________________ DEBBY/OK

| Debby, you sound alot like me. I can't stand to see the little ones suffer especially if there are parents that take care of their habots before taking care of their children. You are a great lady and maybe one day Santa will actually remember!! _________________ Vicki

| I'm still working on a nice woollen wrap for my neighbour to thank her for grabbing me heaps of clearance wool (BARGAIN!!!). I've been so busy the last fortnight at my new job that I've hardly had time to blink and there'll be more of the same next week but hopefully after that it'll settle into some form of routine...that's why I picked my avatar...that's kind of how I look and feel at the moment...lol...hardly a spare moment, I need a break! When I finish the wrap, I'm hoping to finish a few other knitting projects that have been hiding away (half-completed ) for a fair while now. I have enough wool to keep me going for at least a year!!! I still have a lot of home projects to finish also though, first up will be painting a bookcase for my growing collection of books On the plus side, I've just received my new discount card from my new job, it'll get a great workout on my next grocery shop! _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| Thanks Vicki...I have worked 11 long days out of the past 14, had last weekend off but spent it on hampers full of laundry, shopping, etc...I have today (Sunday) off. I'll do a few laundry loads and a grocery shop, cook a double batch of dinner late this afternoon. Then this evening I will collapse in front of the t.v. and spend 2 hours watching my fav. veiwing at the moment "Australian Idol" (my DH would be rolling his eyes here! ...lol) but I enjoy it!!! It even has an 'Irish' contestant this year and what a voice! Then I have Tuesday off.....WOOOHOOOO....and I'll be home alone.....YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY......so I can take my time bludging around with minimal housework....then hopefully next week I'll have a little more 'me-time' again once the new store opens, it's kind of 'all hands on deck' at the moment trying to get everything set up for grand opening day....but....they have some great opening specials and guess who'll be in the right place at the right time?!?!?! On the plus side....the extra earnings have helped a lot also....so I'll put that to good use while it's been available. I appreciate your thinking of me _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
