| Do we have any vegetarians here?I was watching videos of people going veggie for all reason,,save animals,,better for your health,,the last guy was about going veggie for money reasons,,said its cheaper for him to eat veggies than meat. Theres all kinds of vegetarians also,,such as some eat veggies cheese,,others wont eat eggs ,,some do,,some eat fish and consider it not being a meat(?) then the vegan diets are more of nothing at all from animals,,,not even wearing leather, its getting confusing!
I havemade veggie meals here beforre but I dont see a big savings on money by going vegetarian.
(Wasnt sure where to put this posting,,since its food,,,money saving,,,frugal,,,etc.) |

| This is an interesting question as it is an area I struggle with a bit. We never had much meat when I was growing up due to having such a low income. We had lentils, beans, eggs and fish for more affordable sources of protein. Meats were eaten in small portions and that is still the way we eat today. It is more affordable for us to eat small meat portions and some meatless meals. Some vegetarians buy meat substitutes which can be very expensive and have soy products which we do not eat. Now,my struggle is that during my high school years up until last year I would have strong desires off and on to become a vegetarian. I was praying about it last year and finally decided that it was not what God wanted for me and so I have made my peace with meat(most anyway)! LOL...I know that sounds so funny, but it is true! Lately I have been craving chicken a lot, but I still do love my meatless days and if grocery prices keep going up we may be eating more beans. _________________ MARY |
