| I went to the bank to pay off Todd's car today at lunch. By doing this, we will be saving $50/month. That sounds small, but hey, anything counts! That extra $50 will go toward his van (along with the $500 extra we have). I have to wait 2-3 more months until we can get out of our cell phone contract. That will be another $100 to go toward the van payment. The van should be paid off by September. Hold me to it! :-) ~M _________________ "It is not how much money you make - it is how you spend it." |

| Yes, it is a relief. However, this is the smallest of many... :-)
Todd and I talked tonight about the Van. We've decided that we will keep the extra money we have each month in an account to pay off the van. We will not pay the big chunk every month, just in case of an emergency. I dont want to spread ourselves so thin that we wont be able to pay a bill if something comes up.
So far, we have $2,000 saved up to pay toward the van. I cant decide on whether or not to put the $1200 we'll be getting from the government toward the van or to put it toward our credit card debt. I think toward the van, because it has the highest interest rate right now. The quicker that's paid off, 4% of our take home pay will be freed up to go towards the next debt (credit cards).

| What a good feeling M to pay off the car! Actually $50.00 sounds like a wonderful amount to me. I think it is fantastic that you and Todd are in agreement about financial matters. _________________ MARY |
