| On ABC news videos they were showing that a recession is happening and that buyers need to beware because it isnt just hitting us,,the consumers, but it is taking a toll on the business. To the point that besides the prices going up,,,the package or containers of items,,,are getting smaller.
They are calling it a consumer rip off and due to the economy,,they are feeling the pinch also.So to make it help them out more things like Cadbury Eggs this year are significantly smaller,,Scott tissues have the same amount of sheets,,,,,,,,,,,,,but the sheets are now smaller in size.Tricky...
Hellmans mayo is 2 oz smaller with no price reduction,,Honey Nut Cheerios are 2 servings smaller and the price went up.Dial soap was 4.5oz is now 4.0 size, small difference that wasnt suppose to be noticed. And the last one mentioned was Brawny paper towels,,they are 11 feet shorter in the large roll and the sheets are also smaller.
Just wanted to report this to you all,,it is now more than ever pays to be frugal and a smart shopper! |

| I have been noticing this with products at the store Donna and it drives me crazy! We really are getting less for more money, and somedays it seems to me that it is almost impossible to make frugal choices. _________________ MARY |

| I have noticed this where I work. Sometimes items will go 'out of stock' for a while then return with new packaging but often the size/volume/weight is reduced. Very deceiving for customers who are not observant. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| Hmmm, I guess this is another reason to try to avoid as much packaging as possible....bulk items when it is feasible... _________________ Love is a fruit, in season at all times and within the reach of every hand. Anyone may gather it and no limit is set. ~ Mother Teresa |

| | This has been done with coffee for years. The manufacturers dupe you into thinking you're getting a bargain by selling 2 for one price. |
