| Would anyone like to start a 'monthly' organizing thread in the new year where we nominate and tackle ONE room each month (ruthlessly...lol)? We could keep each other motivated, maybe give ideas and post our progress etc. _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| Great! We can make suggestions as to which room we'd like to tackle first! Bedrooms? Bathroom? Kitchen? Living/Dining Room? Any others I might've left out (garage on purpose...heheh).
We can also post storage suggestions/ideas. This could be VERY useful _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| Oh I like this idea. I need some motivation in this category. I can't say I'd follow through but I'd have a better chance if I had encouragement. _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]

| Donna, I keep my make-up, perfume and hair accessories in one half-width top drawer in the bedroom. It's a large chest but the two top drawers only go half-way across if you catch my drift. I have put little plastic trays/crates in to divide it, I bought these cheaply when I worked at the hardware store but I suppose margarine/ice-cream tubs etc. would work just as well. I have 3 rectangular trays running from front to back, 1 for perfume, 1 for lipsticks, 1 for eye make-up. I have one long tray that runs alongside these 3 and it contains all hair accessories. I mentioned before that all hairclips and slides get tossed into the tray but I found that using an empty kitchen-roll/paper-towel tube to thread all my barettes/hair-ties onto really keeps them tidy and together and I can see them easily. I just lift out the tube if I want slides from underneath! I suppose once you find something that works for you, you tend to stick with it..lol. _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |
