Well I put a bit more effort into the hall closet today, was great to concentrate on it and take my mind of other things Rolling Eyes Laughing
I got the top shelf cleared, it runs the full width of the 3 doors, I dusted it and now all Christmas decorations and accessories are boxed and stored on it. Best to use the top shelf for items that aren't accessed very often cheers

I used the 4 new plastic lidded crates I'd bought (only $2.99 ea.) and sorted them as
1. candles
2. misc. fixings
3. adaptors, cables/ext. leads
4. globes, torches, batteries.
They're double stacked (leaves extra shelf space) and all labelled. cheers

I had a few open-weave plastic trays from a vegetable rack and I placed these on the 3rd shelf down...1 on either end....one is filled with kitchen bulk-buys/specials (it's at the end closest to the kitchen.....the other is filled with bathroom bulk-buys/specials (it's closest to the bathroom). The centre will be for larger/bulk items and toilet-rolls, kitchen-towels, etc. cheers

I still need to sort out board games and mountains of photographs (most in a storage crate) but that was enough for today, I intend to complete this job tomorrow (New Year's Eve) so I can devote January to my first bedroom purge, although some of the Christmas items have already been removed from the spare room Razz

I was off last week so I stayed home and organized. The house was in pretty bad shape so I still didn't get nearly enough done but the living room is clean and organized, rearranged furniture, our bedroom is now organized, went through my closet and donated my rarely used clothes to Goodwill. Also cleaned and organized the bathroom and fixed the closet doors that were off track. I am sore and tired but feel accomplished. You all definitely inspire me.
