Okay, I feel I'm being cheap...lol...although I have done this before a few times.
As I mentioned recently, our electric blanket 'kicked the bucket' and the shop refunded it, no problem.
It's been getting pretty chilly over recent nights and DH has kept hinting that we need a replacement as he's not fussed on the hot water bottle and finds using the blanket eases his 'aches and pains' more effectively.
Well, I shopped around yesterday and bought the best value for money one I could find.
BUT......
I checked the stores online catalogue yesterday evening and NOW their electric blankets are on promotion with a 25% discount.....
OKAY.......
You know what's coming....lol Laughing
Am I being cheap or practical by returning my purchase for a refund and repurchasing at the discounted price to save over $20 (which would feed us for a few nights!)...or...should I just accept my bad luck in buying a day early?!!!

p.s. I did ring customer service this morning who said they had no policy for purchasing within a time-frame of promotions, although I knew some stores did this by refunding the price difference, worth a try though.
Their refund policy states they reserve the right to refuse refunds on electrical products, I rang the store concerned and the assistant said there shouldn't be a problem as I hadn't removed it from the packaging, we were too tired to strip the bed to use it last night Sleepy

Cheap OR Practical?
Let me have it....I can take it....but be gentle Razz

Practical.
I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Practical as long as returning it doesn't cost more in gas than you'd save.

I voted practical but DF has a good point about the gas used to return the item....you have to weigh the $20 saved against the gas or other issues....I have been in situations where returning an item would have just stressed me out too much to hassle with it...oh by the way Skin, great pic of you and your hubby Wink

Gas would be minimal but I ended up not doing it today as we had a medical emergency with DS, he's facing surgery, please pray for him.
