| There was a coupon for a free Frebreeze Noticable plug-in scent. I chose 'morning walk' and plugged it in last night. I could smell it throughout the house. Our house is small but it worked well and smelled nice. I unplugged it before bed because locally a couple years back someone's house caught on fire from a Glade plug-in. I am afraid to keep them running. _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]

| The gel holder I'm using in the bathroom this month is still working, almost 4 weeks now, although the strength of the scent gradually diminishes with the gel. The plug in is quite nice although I only use it when I'm home and when I remember about it (lol, as it's plugged into a socket in the hallway downstairs). The scent hits you as soon as you walk through the front door and carries upstairs. As escarcha mentioned I've read articles that possibly linked a few of these to fires so it's not worth taking any risks, I suppose you have to treat them like candles in that respect. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| I checked on Snopes.com (the internet watchdog) and the "Warning" about fire hazard with the plug in scent devices is a hoax. There have been no reported fires from any of the companies that have the UL rating. There are many internet hoaxes regarding consumer items so it's really important to check when you recieve one of these "warnings" Another common hoax is Swifter wet being poison for pets (it's not). _________________ Dear Lord, help me remember how lucky I am on both the good and the bad days! |

| I check all the email warnings with Snopes but the plug-in story was on a local news channel from a fire chief who determined the cause of a local fire so there is at least one case. My luck I'd be that person. Better safe than sorry. _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]

| As for food,,I bought a brand of cheese spread called Laughing Cow.It comes in a circle shape and when you open it ,theres several wedges,,,pie shaped cheese. One wedge is only 35 calories and it will spread oveer a whole bagel or on several crackers.I bought it at a Krogers store and it was 2.89.There several flavors you can get also,,like plain, french onion(thats the kind I have ) ,garlic and herb,,and a few more. I know alot of diets call for Laughing cow brand in their menus. My vote so far is its a keeper. I also bought a box of Triscuits.they were the cracked pepper and olive oil flavor.I think its a good taste by itself, but if you try it with dip or spreads,,then it would over power the chip.I think its a keeper too,,but just by itself. |

Similar here escarcha but it I heard it on the radio news, the start of the house fire was attributed to the plug-in. There was a bit of a scare surrounding them afterwards but re-assurances quickly followed. Although these occurences may be unusual and very rare it's not worth the risk, always best to play it safe. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| Are we still doing this monthly? I haven't seen anything for April, unless I've missed it. I forget who volunteered to start up this thread each month.
Suggestions would help also _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
