I'm taking my time with my huge box of photos, it's pretty daunting. A few days ago I went through several envelopes, set aside the extra double prints for crafts or to send to relatives and took blurred or unrecognizable ones down to the shredder where I promptly jammed it Shocked
Luckily DH sorted that, I'll try 2 at a time instead of 4 Laughing

Here's a helpful little video clip on photo organizing:

I'm still working on those recipes. It's slow work, but I'm doing it.

I suppose with paperwork it's important to just get a good system up and running, especially as it's an ongoing project.

Donna, fantastic job. It really does feel good to finish, huh?

Next month, personally, I'd like to re-organize the bathroom but am open to any other preferences. I'm just glad to be actively doing this month by month with tips/suggestions and encouragement.

What room/project does everyone else want to tackle next month?
We'll choose the most popular. Smile

Bathroom is fine with me,I have a closet in there thats is just a awkward shape with shelves,,but its so deep the space is wasted.I need to organize it as well as the linen closet adjacent to it.

But,I am open to other ideas too,,my hubby wants to do a miracle in the garage,,,its in need of organizing too.

We can do garage (or shed or basement for those who have one but not the other) if anyone prefers. I'm happy to go with the flow..
Donna we've done a pretty good purge on our garages already over a few weeks, just an hour or two each weekend so we didn't feel overwhelmed, now they look HUGE and I feel like I can breathe when I go in there...lol. Our washing machine is in there too and sometimes it was like completing an obstacle course just to do a load of laundry! But DH really still needs to finish organizing all the shelves.

Is everyone getting on top of their paperwork this month? I'd much rather do a room any day...lol Rolling Eyes

Kim do you use a filing system for your various categories of paperwork?

I'm typing my recipes on 3 x 5 index cards off the computer. I bought this big clear storage box from Joanne's. I'm going to just divide them up according to Chicken, Beef, Pork, Vegetables, Desserts, etc. 'll do each catergory with a different color paper to make it easier to see. I figure with just one recipe box, it will take care of a lot of the clutter and downsize the items on my shelf.

I tried storing my recipes in an accordian-type filing folder alphabetically. It just isn't working anymore. I have to sort thru all the papers to try and find the recipe I want.

If I find a recipe on line, I just print it out on a 3 x5 size. That saves me from re-typing the recipe later. Also, most magazines print some recipes on little cards that you can pull out of the page. I just file these little cards because they fit in the clear box I bought.
