I love the shoe box idea. It just so happened that I had 2 from lil Darin's new shoes so I took them downstairs and put them to use. My dresser drawers are so nice and neat. I used one for bras and the other one for underwear. They sist side by side and then in the open spot I stacked my socks. Looks very nice and neat and easy to find everything.

Don't they work great Vicki?
I must say that's one of the best (& frugal) tips I've come across for bedroom organizing. I LOVE it! Very Happy

I think so too! Very Happy

I also think that when you actually go to the effort of decluttering and reorganizing that you end up continuing the effort to keep it that way, especially if you find an organized system that works well.

Love the link Skin.

My actual room is done. I even throughly cleaned it today. It looks and smells so nice now.

I worked on my bookshelf today and pulled out several books that haven't ever been used and probably will never be used so I will list those on half.com. I went through my recipes which are stored in binders on the bookcase. I really cleaned out today!!

Thanks for this thread and getting me moving!!

The shoe boxes won't work for Rachel's drawers as they are too shallow. I guess I will hold them and use them for Bailey's

Wow Vicki, you're doing well to have finished your bedroom already. I'm taking my time over the weeks and am always busy with work on the latter half of the week so probably will get stuck back into it on Sunday or Monday. I have one large drawer that is full of lots of junk that definitely does NOT belong in our bedroom. That should be next on my list then I'll have a whole extra drawer to utilize Smile
I took 2 bags of clothing and books to the thrift store 2 days ago and gave away several phones that have been 'lurking' for a long time on Freecycle.
I'm going to use the large mirror I got from Freecycle in my bedroom when I've finished the clearout. The hooks down the sides will be useful for keys etc Smile

OH! I was thinking about hair-scrunchie/barette storage. Those wooden mug-racks would look pretty if painted with hair bands hung on the arms huh?
