It's gonna be TIGHT!!!!

Well, at DH's job (he's been there 16 yrs), they are having a major lay-off....they are laying-off 130 workers...this will not include DH as he has alot of seniority, but things are so slow that he has all of next week off and can't draw unemployment because he has to re-open his claim and it will be his waiting week. He has not worked a full week in a long time. His company is coming up for contract in April and they are more than likey going to strike. His company is owned by people in Japan and the labor would be much cheaper done there , so we are worried that they will close his plant. He makes corrigated tubing , used commercialy, so with the economy being in such a rut sales are WAY down! We will have to sell our house and move if he loses his job. we will then more than likely move to New Mexico. So, for now we are trying to be as tight as we can. Thank goodness income tax return will be here Friday...that's $8,800....so it will get us by for a while if need be. It is also a wonderful time to see God work. We are so not stressing over this and are waiting to see what wonderful suprises God has in store for our family! He will use all things for good...so we'll see!

I understand Kim. My company was acquired in January and we're on eggshells waiting to see who will be eliminated due to duplication. My DH is out of work and things are getting tight. I wish you good luck with this. Keep us posted.

Kim,two places are closing down in our town also and people are really hurting. You have a wonderful attitude about it though and I am glad that you have the income tax refund to help you out for a while. I will be praying!

I'm glad to hear your positive attitude kim and the tax return will give you breathing space if it's required. I pray that things work out and you don't have to go through the upheaval of moving etc.
I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers, keep us posted please. I'm sure you're glad you worked out a budget too!

Well, the did the lay-off and DH now has to run 6 corrigating lines, actually 4 corrigating lines and 2 tube mills....I know none of that made sense to you, but he will be having to do the work of 3 men! Oh...please pray for his stamina! We have SOOOOO much going on right now with Sam (foster dauhter#1), I don't know how much more stress he can take. The good thing is...God uses all for good...we need to patient and quiet and see what He is telling us to do. Thanks ladies...I love you all.

Kim I will be praying for you and the family my friend. If I could do more I would. We are having a tough time right now ourselves. Got the 1st bill from the hospital and am hoping insurance pays it all ($7093.00) for the 1st week. I havent been able to work in almost 1 month. I was making much but it did help. Oh well.

I pray the insurance covers that cost Vicki. Hope things are more settled too.
