| Blue Window Cleaner 3 tablespoons ammonia 3/4 cup water 1 tablespoon white vinegar 2 drops blue food coloring
All Purpose Spray Cleaner 1 pint rubbing alcohol 1 tablespoon dishwashing detergent 1 tablespoon household ammonia 1 tablespoon vinegar
Mix in a gallon jug. Fill jug with warm water and shake. You can put this in a spray bottle and use as you would Windex. Great for cleaning windows, chrome and bath fixtures.
Shower cleaner for tough soap scum 1/3 cup vinegar 1/3 cup liquid laundry detergent ( I use ERA) Fill the rest of a 32 oz spray bottle with water. Spray on shower and wipe with soft scrubbie or shower brush. If soap scum is heavy. Turn hot water on and let run a few minutes. Then clean. I usually spray cleaner, clean rest of bathroom and then clean shower.
All Purpose Cleaner 1 gallon distilled water 1 bottle of rubbing alcohol 2 TBSP Prell shampoo
I have used this on literally every surface in my house and I have to say it is wonderful!! It cleans and disinfects, what more do you need?? _________________ Vicki

| Thanks, Vicki!! I have spent the good part of a week trying to find a large refill container of blue window cleaner for a dollar. I usually get it at the Family Dollar store, and have gone to two & either are not stocking it, or aren't going to be selling it anymore. Nothing at Dollar tree. Expensive at KMart!! I just refuse to spend more than a buck on it, yet it's my favorite!!
I'm going to make your blue window cleaner tomorrow...can't wait to try it out!! (that sounds funny!! Like I love to clean or something-HA! ) |

| Do you ladies think it is cheaper to make or buy the cleaners at the dollar store? I guess it would almost be easier to make them because the stuff is allready in the house?! I hate wasting time if there is no savings, you know?

didn't you detect my sarcasm about cleaning, Donna?! ugh. I am organized, hate clutter, and always make sure things are tidy. But soap & water....hhhmmmmm. is company coming?
I DO use alot of glass cleaner though. I've got a really long dining room table(glass covered), & my kids are slobs~ and I like the disinfectant properties of ammonia & vinegar. |

Wow cheapy we must be twins separated at birth!!! I usually run around like a lunatic vacuuming and mopping when we're expecting guests, cleaning takes a backseat to work, grocery shopping, laundry etc...I do like the place to be tidy and cleared away though, but dust-bunnies have become a new family addition _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| | I am very low on the glass cleaner and plan on saving the spray bottle to make my own window solution,,,does adding the blue food colring drops..make any difference to how well it cleans,,such as can I leave that out of the solution? |
