I saw a video from ABC News about the mileage we get with driving and gadgets and additives to help improve mileage.Since gas has skyrocketed people are trying everything to help save.I thought Id share some of it with you,

First,,additives you pour into your gas tank wont work.It was tested on the news and no difference was seen by proffesional drivers. It also mentioned the price of the liquid additive cost as much as a gallon of gas.

Next was magnets.(I never knew of this one)Magnets suppose to be able to improve your mileage and car performance. This was tested by the drivers and no differences were noted.

The bottem line was to not buy the gadgets and additives and save your money.Simply driving the speed limit and not having a lead foot, will make your gas mileage longer.

Just thought Id share! Smile

Thank you, Donna.

I just filled my car up for the weekend.
I got the highest gas mileage ever on this car : 43.5 MPG!
Yippee!

And she (the car) needs an oil change. I'm 500 miles over. It will be done tomorrow morning.

simple common sense Frank tells me about all the stuff I carry abound in the car but we live far away from town that whne I go to the store I carry three coolers and 3 insulated bags

I am very good about maintence and we take good care of our things ..

I wonder what the magnets are supposed to do ?

It's getting a bit crazy....I heard of a term that I cannot recall at the moment but it refers to techniques that are supposed to save your gas while driving..one of them suggests turning off your car for a while and then restarting...another says you should never brake in a curve....ok now this is just downright ridiculous not to mention quite dangerous....sheesh Shocked

Donna - our friend owns a motorcycle shop and has scooters. I told dh I wanted one. We could ride it all through our town. We wouldn't have to tag, title or insure it unless you drive it over 45 and well the speed limit is only 30!

There was an article on a current affairs t.v. show the other night about increased sales on 'electric' bicycles! They looked great. You only need to pedal if the battery runs low, in which case it's just a normal bicycle...how neat is that.
