| 1. Check dollar stores where you will be able to find all kinds of decorations and such for next to nothing. You can get the mints, favors, napkins, plates, cups, balloons, and a whole bunch of things for your wedding reception and save a ton of money.
2. You could get a rubber stamp made with the bride and grooms names and date on it. Get a family member to stamp napkins and cups with non toxic ink, even add a design like entertwining rings.......... This could go on placecards you make too. With the placecards, I would advise you to use a brayer to get a nice crisp fold on all card stock paper.
3. If you know anybody that has recently been married and you liked some of their decorations, ask if can borrow them! _________________ DEBBY/OK

| These are great ideas debby. Dollar stores are also a great place to shop for any kind of themed party especially if you work with a few colours and accessorise with a few specially themed pieces. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| I'm so lucky Vicki, there are heaps where I live. I've been able to pick up lots of decorations for my themed birthday party for DH. Long lengths of crepe paper streamers(red/black/white), bags of balloons in specific colours (red/black/white), party plates too (red). I was also lucky last week when going to 'The Warehouse', I was able to pick up soccer themed party items also, tablecover, party hats and party blowouts in multipacks and all for just over $1 each. I'd already picked up the horned headbands and other bits and pieces but I did get a $2 white plastic table cover and using a felt tip marker, browsed the internet and found loads of football related jokes to write all over it, I was going to hang it on the wall so everyone could have a laugh. You really don't need to spend 'big' money to have a fun party. I'm heading out to another dollar store today to pick up a few more 'red-devil' rubber duckies to have a pool race....'cheap-as-chips' parties I have....lol. I also got a tennis ball multi-pack for $2 and I can use those for several party games!!! _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
