I just wondered what 'frugal' crafts or hobbies everyone enjoys?
I know not all hobbies/crafts are frugal.

I enjoy knitting, a lot, and save money by occasionally making rather than purchasing items to wear (also for gifts). I'm currently knitting a jumper for DS as winter's approaching!

I'd love to learn how to make beaded jewellery, one of these days when I finish all my current temporarily 'abandoned' projects Razz I'm so bad at not finishing one thing before starting another!

I would class 'reading' as a hobby and it's FREE if you use the library of course Very Happy

Creative writing would also be frugal but maybe frustrating?...lol.

I wish I could garden, but I have two black thumbs...lol....DH was going to rename my peace-lily from Lazarus to Phoenix! Embarassed
I'd love to be able to grow herbs, maybe in pots??? *SIGH* DS would call those candidates for death row!

Does anyone paint? I think that would be very creative and a great release, although I don't know what expenses would be involved. I've also considered taking up a class if I ever found time. I'm sure even I could manage a few colourful splotches and call it abstract laugh

I've gotten back into my calligraphy. I just finished three projects for my church. I, also, found a prayer shawl ministry to join, but I have to wait until my arm heals a little more for that.

Gardening season is coming. I won't be able to do much, but I'll be out there cheering my flowers on to bloom and be healthy. Cheerleader

I would like to start hand embroidering, again. I have some projects to work on. Then, there's scrap booking that I have to start and oh, yea, I have three books already for my summer reading and then I have some updating to do on my geneology.

I serve the church as much as I can. I keep getting asked to help out at parish functions and I keep saying yes. I wish I could retire. Work gets in the way of having fun.

Well I discovered I love to scrapbook. I have been going thru all our pics and doing albums. I don't do it extensively like some but I am having fun with it. I also love to read and now that it is warm I am working in the yard that has been neglected for years
