I am fumming! Evil or Very Mad
My minutes ran out much more quickly than usually on my prepaid Verizon cell phone. I checked on line and found a 9.99 charge. I called this AM and the service representative said it was from Dada Ringtones. I explained I never authorized the charge and wanted it credited, they told me I had to contact Dada and to text message stop to the number 63232. I did this but was still upset about not getting credited the 9.99 so I called back, I am now waiting for a supervisor to call me back. Verizon does the billing for these people so they should be able to credit me. Plus, what keeps them from billing me again? I e-mailed Dada and asked for my phone to be blocked in the future, but I don't know if they got the e-mail since there was no send button, just a back button on the e-mail form. When I first went to the site Verizon told me to go to it was for another company and the cancel ringtones was really a scam to sell more! I'm retired from Verizon having working my way from Service Rep up to middle management, if I can't feel safe with them as my cell phone carrier how can the elderly and teenagers without telephonic experiance?

Sorry you had all that trouble Teri,,I know this week my husband and I went to our cell phone place and canceled one of the cell phones because we now have a home line,The guy was so persistant for us to keep the cell that I was so determined to not keep it because of his bossy and pushy sales act he was doing!LOL,,I guess it was my pride or temper,,but we explained 2 cells and a home line wasnt necessary,,he tried to get us to turn ff the home line,,some sales people need to learn to deal with customers a bit better.

I agree...cell phone companies try to rip us off. I actually called last week to see if there was a better plan for us. We really only use it to call each other so we hardly use any minutes. Phone company says we already have the cheapest plan. It ridiculous the $ we spend for the amount we use but i feel more secure having one.

Because of the problem it has become my personnal goal this month not to use my cell unless it's an emergency. I usually buy $50 worth of minutes every 2 months. This month I only bought $15. I have free LD calling on my Comcast telephone so I will check the caller ID on the cell and call back on the cable phone. Unfortunately, David is going out of town for the week and will forget and call on the cell, then I'll have to answer so he won't worry, but it will be a short call that's for sure!

Our cell phone bill is crazy for the 4 of us(115.00). Too bad dh just renewed with a 2 yr contract or I would get rid of at least 1.
