| Subject: Christmas/Birthday list. Mon 04 Dec 2006, 8:27 am | |
| Okay, I've decided to really get organized for NEXT Christmas...yes....NEXT Christmas. Using the computer I'm going to make myself a chart listing everyone's name (by family unit) with dates of birth & star signs. I will also enter a 'Christmas gift' column and add the information as gifts are purchased so I can keep track of what I have done to date. Then I will use the list to fill birthdays on a callendar for next year (I really struggle to remember birthdays or am always late). I may have to amend it but so far I'm thinking 4 columns with the following headings: Name Date of birth Star sign Gift details
That should help me keep a record of who I've already covered so I don't double-up! Also I really want to get organized much sooner next year so I can save on postage by sending sea-mail which is less than half the price of airmail! Oh, and of course I shall be on the lookout for bargains throughout the year _________________ ~ Friends are kisses blown to us by angels ~ |

| Good luck SF...I just use a notebook and each year write a Christmas card list, and what I want to buy for each person and how much $ I will spend and then make another list of what I did buy them and keep a talley of how much I spend,,,each year takes about 5-10 pieces of paper, so the notebook lasts a few years...I get the notebook for .10 before school. It has worked for me for years..and I also keep a drawer in my filing cabnet for Christmas where I keep and envelope of all recipts till the next year and this is where I keep my notebook too. Hope you find a way to make it work!

| The notebook's a good idea also kim. I was thinking of keeping an alphabetical notebook (like a small telephone/address book) in my handbag with the same information in it, so it'd still be organized in family units. But I still want to keep a 'Master' list on file. I can cross-reference both to keep them up to date. The notebook would be great to carry around for quick reference & also to jot down ideas! _________________ ~ Friends are kisses blown to us by angels ~ |
