I spoke to DH about the 'several' partially used bottles of mosquito repellant he has in his basket (I'd found 5 or 6 while sorting through them). For some weird reason he's bought and opened newer ones before finishing off older ones. I've asked him to work his way through them, starting with the least amounts onwards so we can dispose of them instead of collecting them! He uses them while playing sports but obviously isn't very organized...lol.
I'm also using up a cheap (& almost nasty) 1 litre pump bottle of shower gel to clean the shower before washing myself. It cleans the shower tiles and glass well enough, so will still get used. It wasn't really the bargain I thought! On the plus side it doesn't almost choke me to use like the regular shower cleaner!

Also, was just wondering how everyone stores their loo-rolls?
I have a round wicker rubbish bin but I tuck it up one side of the toilet and it holds several at a time, very convenient and it looks okay too.

Yes Donna, loo-rolls as in toilet-rolls Smile
OR...if I used the Aussie slang term it would be 'poo tickets'...lol.
I'm lucky I suppose in that our toilet is separate to our bathroom, this has proven very convenient!

that would be convenient...I can't remember the last time I even entered my bathroom alone! I haven't had a shower by myself in 8 years!!! All I hear is "MOM!!!" LOL...
we just keep a roll on the window sill...it's just sitting there...boring, but it works!

We keep ours on a shelf in our storage closet. When the current roll starts to thin down, we put a new roll on the shelf on top of our toilet tank.

Any suggestions on what we'd like to tackle/organize next month (May). Perhaps we could go for that closet/storage cupboard idea, or maybe a shed or garage? Or any other suggestions?

Well my bathroom was done then we tore it up!! We had ceramic tile laid on the floor last weekend and put in a new vanity. We purchased the new trim and crown moulding also. Now we need to get our new medicine cabinet, light bar and vanity top. It is a mess again but we are working on it. We will paint, put up the new trim, put up crown molding, etc.... We took the wood towel rods and towel ring out and my mom gave us chrome ones which I can't wait to get up. Also in the stuff she gave us was a chrome toilet paper holder to hold extra rolls that sits on the floor next to the toilet!! Today at a yard sale I found a chrome stand that holds a glass tumbler (I will store our dental floss in it), soap dish and toothbrush holder for $1.00.

Garage/shed would be great mine is a mess!

My bathrooms are done and the liner closet looks good too. What are we doing next?

Wow Vicki, renovating bathrooms can be big jobs and quite messy huh? Sounds like it'll be very modern when it's finished. What colour scheme are you having?

Looks like we're going with garage/shed next month then?
That works for me too. Smile

Well I am trying to turn our home into looking like a beach cottage. I live in Chesapeake Beach about 2 minuted from the Chesapeake Bay and I love the beach so I thought why not....

The ceramic tile in our bathroom is like a swirled pattern with blue, white and a sand color. The walls will be a white tinted with pale blue, the ceiling and trim will be all white. The vanity is what they call the boardwalk style and is white. We are looking for a vanity top with blue in it as our toilet and tub are blue (they are the original). We are purchasing the white medicine cabinet and light bar also. Then for storage instead of the brown over the toilet cabinet I had I found a white cabinet that hangs with a towel bar, has 2 cabinet and 2 shelves with baskets. I have lighthouse wallies that I will use sparingly to add some more color. My shower curtain is one we've had for years blue with lighthouses on it and we are using cream colored (almost white) rungs thatmy mom gave us. We are accenting with the chrome towel bars, rings, tp holder etc. It is taking forever to do this as we have to do what we can when we have the money. But it will be worth it.

We started this project because the floor was rotten in a spot around the tub and it needed to be fixed. We will start the upstairs bathroom when we finish as the floor needs to be replaced also. We got a cream and sand colored tile for up there and will do a sea shell theme. We will replace the shower surround as it is rotten, the floor, the trim etc.. and possible go to a double vanity.
