| I haven't even started the bathroom cleaning yet. We cleaned out one of our largest closets over the weekend. I had to move my vehicle out of the garage because we're storing all the stuff we're getting rid of in there until we can take it to a charity.
Hopefully, if everything goes well with my father tomorrow, I can start the bathroom on Thursday. (keeping fingers crossed). |

| That's great Julien, we're currently choosing a different project/room each month so we have several weeks to totally overhaul that area, that way we're more likely to stick with it and not get overwhelmed. Let us know here and there how you're progressing
Regarding the idea I mentioned before about using terracotta wall pot holders as storage, I'm wanting to perhaps use one but decorate it with shells, I think that'd be pretty in the bathroom. I shall have to wait a whole month though as I'm not making any unnecessary purchases this month....phooooeyyy
I'm so tempted to paint our bathroom now too....but there are other rooms which could do with that first.....but it is such a small area....
Also, now is a good time to get rid of any old/worn towels too, recycle them as rags/cloths or donate them to animal shelters. The weather is cooling down here so I'm allocating a few to our poochie's bed. Hey!!! We don't have a dog emotican so pretend this monkey is a dog with no ears _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| LOL.... I'm glad you are joining us, Julien!
I am stummped on where to store things! So, far I took a big tote that was in our "secret room" that had the kids church clothes in it and took them all and hung them on hangers in their rooms...we had to have all the clothes down here when Rob was on nights as we couldn't do anything when he was sleeping...so that was done! And I organized my underwear drawer...I got small totes that would fit in the drawer for socks, underwear...etc...I like it much better. |

| I started cleaning the bathroom this morning. It needs to be painted. Dh agrees. We may do it before the fall. I'm not sure yet.
Anyways, if anyone is interested in cheap curtains for the bathroom, I bought a bed sheet on sale. I cut it down to make both curtains for the window and the outside shower curtain. I think at the time, it only cost me around $10 for the sheet. I starch the material and iron it to keep the dust off of them and to have the curtains hold their shape better from the steam. I change colors for the seasons - I have a white, yellow and blue plaid for spring/summer and medium brown with blue leaves for fall/winter. Then, I accessorize with matching rugs.
For storage, we have a large vanity mirror with three extra shelves on the side, a vanity with three extra drawers and my father made us a shelf. By de-cluttering, everything has a place and is accessible, now. |

| The bathroom is done. I still don't like all the stuff on our one shelf. It seems everytime I clear a space and have room, something from someone fills it up and looks cluttered again.
But, it's nice and clean. I changed the curtains, rugs and shower curtain.
It looks nice and bright and clean. |

| Well done ladies, I'm still sifting through bits and pieces that were 'unsures' the first time. This time I'm being more ruthless but it's pretty tidy and organized anyway. DH does need to fix a tiny slow/leak somewhere under the vanity in the far end cupboard. All my beach towels (which are rarely used) had to be taken out, washed and stored elsewhere until this is done! _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
