| I'm considering contacting some friends to maybe organize another 'Clothes Swap Party'. We all got new clothes for some of our Christmas prezzies and I've decided we need to clear out some of the 'no longer' worn items. I think this time, if everyone's interested again, we'll arrange for men's clothing to be swapped also. I'll be making enquiries after New Years....it was great fun last time! PLUS...I did have everything left over afterwards to sort through and take to charity shops, I found a few items I'd missed while hunting through the piles during the evening! _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| Well, so far I mentioned it to a few 'new' friends at my new job today and was unsure how they'd feel about it but...they all seemed pretty keen. I'm sure the friends from my old job who came to the last one will certainly come again...we had a good old laugh. I'm thinking around the end of the month by the time I do some new invitations (with info.) and contact everyone...then they can have a few weeks to declutter their closets. It's a good chance to socialize out of work too. I wish you all could come also! _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| Well, there was a bit of a storm here last night, but it passed quickly, we had a little thunder and lightning. Only 6 people turned up but at least we were all around the same size...phew! We sad around the table drinking tea, coffee and juice, digging into nibblies. We listened to c.d's and nattered for around an hour, then we tipped everything out and got stuck in!!! I tried quite a few things on but ended up with only a couple of items. I got a gorgeous pair of pink satiny pyjamas which look new and a nice beige camisole with lace sleeves and trim across the top of the bodice which will look great under jumpers and cardigans (or as a p.j. top). My neighbour packed up whatever was left into two garbage bags for me at the end so they're sitting upstairs ready to go to the thrift store either today or tomorrow. We had such a giggle at her 5yo daughter who tried on several items and got stuck in a few...teehee.... In a few moments I'm going to make myself a cup of coffee and have a last, quick, rummage through the garbage bags in case I missed something amidst the piles last night, then it's off to the thrift store as I have some old books of DS to drop off there too.
You're right gayla, it's such a fun and frugal thing to do. It's also a good reason for having a major closet clearout. Great idea too with the maternity and baby clothes. _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |
