| Have any of you given home made gifts or received home made gifts for Holidays such as Christmas or birthdays etc.
Reason I am asking is I know its far off right now,,but hubby and I were talking about having Christmas with his family this year, and asking each family to have their gift exchange as a home made gift. |

| My MIL has knitted me sweaters, hats, mittens, scarves, afghan and matching pillows. She made me yarn wreaths for July 4 and for Christmas. She gave me a wonderful potpourri vase lamp and a wishing bubble. My SIL made me a quilted Christmas tree skirt.
I've given: bracelets and earrings that I made, handpainted shirts, sneakers and jackets, bandana quilts, afghans (knit and crochet), Christmas tree ornaments made with shells, pinecones, etc., painted slate signs,
My husband has given people cigar box purses - he is REALLY good at these.
My sister makes batches of spiced nuts that everyone loves! My other sister is a photographer and she has taken beautiful photos of our hometown and had them framed for us.
A doctor at work makes homemade bread for us all year long but at Christmas he sends a special loaf home to my DH (they are big fans of each other).
I'm trying to figure out what I'll be doing this year for everyone. |

| Donna, that sounds wonderful!
I have knit and given scarves, hats, jumpers and cardigans.
I have also made and given scented (& coloured) bathsalts and decorated the jars.
Last Christmas, a work-friend gave me home-made coffee liqueur....yummy in a glass of milk.
I'm hoping this year to decorate plain glass Christmas baubles if I can ever find the right paint to use!!! _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| Just as an afterthought...have you ever received a silly or funny frugal gift?
One Christmas my mum gave me a jumper which she'd 'obviously' purchased in a thrift store. How did I know? Someone had cut the cuffs off _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| My MIL knitted me a pair of mittens and a purse. They're actually really nice.
We give home made cookies and candy at Christmas for gifts. My father makes things out of wood and gives them as gifts at Christmas.
I used to make quilts for gifts, but my sewing machine is not feeling very well right now. |

| I have given homemade cookies and breads. When I was younger I was really into ceramics so I gave a lot of my ceramic peices as gifts. I would love to receive homemade gifts but this does not happen. I have been hinting to my fiances grandma that we would love a quilt for our wedding present. I love quilts but don't know how to make them. _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]
