| I went to the dollar store and bought these really nice silver, engraved trays. We're going to put the cookies on them and give them as gifts to people. The dollar store, also, had bags for wrapping the trays in. The trays are so beautiful, people will be able to either reuse them for parties or to re-gift.
We're going to be giving our SIL and BIL a bottle of wine as part of their Christmas basket gift. I found a cute wine bottle bag at the dollar store, too. |

| Use old Christmas cards for gift tags (use cookie cutters for shapes) or for post cards
make your own cards and envelopes with stuff you have around the house.
don't send cards- send letters and decorate your paper
Use popcorn and cranberries on tree
find good buys - buy double and put away for next year or upcoming holidays and birthdays
use magazines pages or comics to wrap presents
decorate with more natural items that you can find outside instead of buying
food shopping - watch your sales and use coupons now is the time of year to get some really great deals _________________ Vicki |

| make a list with the person's name - gift and how much you want to spend. Don't stray from that and scratch it off when done.
make lists for everything and only get what is on your list unless it is such a great deal you cannot pass it up. _________________ Vicki |

| | I thought this was frugal...I have a Christmas decorating book and it shows lots of ways to decorate your tree with paper snowflakes and brown paper mittens made into a garland....ornimants are expensive! So, I thought this was cool, and we are actually making some for our tree ! |

| I read a tip recently that had a picture and it looked good. They used old Christmas wrapping paper, put it through the shredder and used it as the 'tissue paper' in a gift bag. I thought it was clever and 'green'. _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]

| Easy stocking stuffer idea!
Depending on age, pop into the stocking a rolled up comic, magazine or puzzle book, pens/pencils/crayons if needed and some snacks to munch on while reading. This would suit children through to adults, just get a copy of their favourite comic or magazine...I so love easy ideas
You know, this could possibly make a good (frugal) gift for a friend also, a coffee mug with a few coffee sachets (or flavoured teas) and a rolled up magazine tucked inside and a packet of nice biscuits. Wrap it up with clear wrap and fasten the top with ribbon.
I bought 3 really nice mugs a few days ago (on sale of course!), white with a white lacey print all over, very pretty but something that could be used for any time of year. I haven't made up my mind yet whether to keep them or use for gifts _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
