| Did anyone stock up with things from the after Christmas sales this year in preparation for 2007 Christmas?
I bought 2 kits, that have 4 rolls of wrapping paper and color matching ribbons and bows and gift tags in each,,plus 2 extra rolls of paper,,bringing me to a total of 10 rolls of paper!I also bout a kit with all kinds of gift bags,,different shapes and sizes,,2 bake pans,,shaped like a snowman and a Christmas tree,,and a new tree toppper for our new tree. Whew!,,I think it all totaled about 60.00 and we paid 10.00 because of After Christmas sales! |

| I also purchased some clearance Christmas wrap packs, Christmas cards and some gorgeous giftbags heavily discounted. I picked wrap and bags that can be used for various occasions throughout the year. I bought (for nieces) some camisoles, underwear and sock-sets (all greatly reduced). I'll add something small to these (probably handknit scarves) and they're good to go. I got a four pretty little carved porcelain tealight holders reduced to $2 each, 2 green & 2 pink all boxed. A few days ago I picked up a few 'spa sets' containing shower gel, moisturiser in jar, bath bomb and incense sticks, prettily packaged & tied with ribbon, reduced from $9.99 to $3.99. I also got half-price tree decorations, some of which I'm going to personalize for gifts next Christmas. I've learned to have a good look around anytime I'm out shopping. One large chain-store is having a 'monster dvd sale'. I might check it out again for kid's movies for next Christmas, these are also light to post. I'm definitely getting ready early as we'll be taking our prezzies with us on our trip to Ireland Oh, and I'll also be checking out the 'end of winter' sales here around June/July for warmer clothing items to take as prezzies to Ireland! I'll also be keeping a lookout for clearance items after Valentines day, Mother's day and especially Father's day....I've also scored great deals for Christmas after Father's day. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| Oh DF, I'd love some company when shopping...if only! Both DH & DS hate to come shopping with me...I pick something up and walk around with it for ages looking at other things while I think about it and often leave the store with nothing...lol...it boggles their minds. I even deliberate over 'bargains'...it has to be a good one before I buy it...I try not to be frivolous when shopping...which works 95% of the time. The other 5% usually goes back for a refund...lol. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
