| I have discovered 2 rarely used bottles of baby oil in my bathroom vanity which I used to use as massage oil for back-rubs or as make-up remover. I rarely wear make-up which is why they haven't been getting used. What I'm wondering is... would it be alright to add a few drops of lavendar essential oil to one bottle to scent it and use as back-rub oil? I could still use it unscented but thought it would be relaxing to add a lavendar scent. Thanks for any help _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| You have to be careful when using essential oils on the skin. They can irritate if not used sparingly. Here's a link to help you:

| Thanks for that info. Sissy, very helpful.
I've read a few other articles also, almond oil seems to be a good carrier/base oil to use.
Baby oil is not an ideal choice as a carrier oil but as I don't want it going to waste I can still use it, I only plan on adding a few drops to very lightly scent it and it will be used sparingly also.
When it's finished I think I'll use some of the recommended carrier oils easily available from the supermarket, much cheaper than buying purpose-made massage oils _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| Some great ideas for th oil skin. I don't have any here as my skin doesn't tolerate it. I couldn't use it on the kids either when they were little _________________ Vicki
